In accordance with the guiding spirit of "promote Chinese and uphold the fine culture of China", Hubei University has taken an active part in establishing overseas Confucius Institute. Under the guidance of NOCFL, and also with the great attention and support from the authorities of Hubei University, it has co-established two Confucius Institutes (hereafter CI for short) in USA and Brazil respectively. The CI established together with the University of Memphis in USA was opened on August 13th, 2007 and a red-carpet anniversary ceremony was held on Sep.14th, 2008. The CI established together with the University of Sao Paulo State in Brazil had its Inauguration Ceremony on November 26, 2008. 

Now the both ICs have turned into the top Confucius Institutes in the world and have got very good reputation.
