Hubei Provincial Government Scholarship for 

International Students from the ASEAN Countries, 

and from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji 

Enrollment Scheme

Hubei Provincial Department of Education established the Hubei Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students from the ASEAN Countries, and from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji for students who intend to study Chinese for one semester/one academic year or one-year foundation course in China. To make full use of the scholarship in international student education of Hubei University, an overall scholarship-student admission requirement is developed as follows.

I. Scholarship Eligibility

Applicantsshould be citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji or Association of SoutheastAsian Nations (ASEAN).

II.Durationof Study

Scholarshipstudents will study Chinese language for one semester(5 months)/one academicyear (10 months) or one-year foundation course (10 months) in Hubei University,China.

III.Requirementsof Applicants

Chineselanguage program applicants should have high school degree or above, under theage of 35 years old and in good health.

Foundationcourse program applicants should have high school degree or above, under theage of 30 years old and in good health.

IV.ScholarshipCoverage and Criteria

Thescholarship provides full coverage on registration fee, tuition fee, textbookcost, one-off settlement subsidy of RMB1,500, one-off inter-city travelreimbursement, campus outpatient medical service and comprehensive medicalinsurance; Accommodation fee is under the overall planning and utilization ofHubei University which will provide scholarship holders with free dormitoryrooms (usually double rooms);Living allowance of RMB1,500 per person is grantedon monthly basis.

V.AdmissionProcedure

1.Applicationshould be filed to Hubei University.

2.Downloadapplication form via download page of International College, Hubei University.

3.Allapplication documents should be mailed to Study Abroad Office, Hubei Universitybefore May 20, 2016.

VI.ApplicationMaterials

Applicantsshould submit the following application materials in duplicate:

2.PhysicalExamination Record For Foreigner (Att 2)

3.Validpassport copy

4.Notarizedhighest diploma

5.Notarizedacademic transcripts (written in Chinese or English)

6.Tworecommendation letters from school attending or professors

7.Astudy plan or research proposal (written in Chinese or English)

Pleasesubmit 6 2-inch color photo of applicant for registration.
